Privacy Policy

Information we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app has no backend, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent.

Data stored on your device

To make the app work, EyeRest saves the following locally on your iPhone. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to include it in your own iCloud or iTunes device backup.

• Break history — the date, time, and duration of each eye break you complete, and whether it happened on schedule and without interruption.
• Your settings — your reminder schedule (hours, days, frequency), break length, and daily goal.
• Progress — streaks, personal records, experience points, and level.
• Diagnostic counters — anonymous local counts of in-app events (for example, how many times onboarding was completed) written to your device's system log. These contain no personal information and are not transmitted to us.

Deleting the app removes all of this data permanently.

Motion & sensors

EyeRest uses your device's motion sensors for one purpose only: to detect when your iPhone is placed face down, which is how the app confirms you're actually resting your eyes. This reading happens entirely on your device in real time, is used only while a break is in progress, and is never recorded or transmitted.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by the app on your device. We do not use push notifications, and no server is involved, so we never learn when or whether you receive one.

Purchases

EyeRest offers a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks customization features. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or receive your name, payment details, or Apple Account information. The app only asks Apple whether the purchase is active on your device. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

EyeRest is not directed at children under 13, and because the app collects no personal data, it does not knowingly collect information from children.

Third parties

EyeRest includes no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or attribution SDKs. Aside from Apple's own App Store purchase handling described above, no third party receives any data from this app.

Your rights

Because all data is stored locally and we hold none of it, you have complete control: you can clear your history from within the app, or delete the app to erase everything. There is no data for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
